Lab day 4: Lungs and heart dissection

During our fourth day in the biology laboratory, we disected the lungs and the heart of a pig. We did this in pairs and we had to bring lungs and a heart to class to do so. In the beginning, we all thought it was going to be disgusting but in the end it wasn't so bad.

We started by filling the lungs with air using a straw and we could see how they inflated and deflated. It was very impressive.

Next, we opened up the heart to be able to see all of its parts. In these videos we explain the parts of the heart and its functions.
